This is a training contract between Alexandra Morgan
and ____________. I understand and agree that the training
fee is $60.00 per hour, the first lesson
probably lasting two hours, pro-rated. Subsequent lessons
will probably be one hour each, pro-rated. I understand there
is a travel fee of $20.00 per hour, pro-rated,
for Alexandra's travel time, and that my fee will be $_____
per visit. (1)
I
understand and agree that if I should need to cancel and reschedule
a session with more than one week (7 days) notice, I will
not be charged a rescheduling fee the first time; if this
happens twice or more I may be charged a fee of $20 per missed
appointment. If I cancel and reschedule at less than one week's
notice I will be charged the full training fee for that missed
visit, but not the travel fee. Emergency cancellations will
not be charged any fee, so long as a message to cancel was
left on Alexandra's answering machine by 8:00 am on the day
of the appointment.
I
understand and agree that although Alexandra will at all times
make every effort to keep scheduled appointments, if she should
need to cancel and reschedule at any time I am not entitled
to any compensation, but only to a rescheduling of that appointment.
If Alexandra is running 20 minutes or more late for an appointment
and this makes it impossible for me to keep the appointment,
I understand I may reschedule the appointment at no extra
charge.
___
Payment Option A : I have contracted and paid for 5 or more
lessons, paid in full with travel time fees, on the first
appointment,and therefore I am entitled to a $30 discount
from the training fees.
___
Payment Option B : I have elected to pay as I go, and so I
agree to pay on the first visit for the first and second visit
plus travel fees, on the second visit for the third, and so
forth. This protects Alexandra against non-emergency cancellations.
Any
payment shall entitle me to a visit with Alexandra for up
to 6 months from the time of payment, after which time any
remaining unused fees shall be forfeit. This time limit can
be extended by Alexandra for up to one year from the last
visit.
I
understand and agree that if my dog should die Alexandra will
refund any unused training and travel fees. (2)
No refunds shall be given for any other reason.
I
understand and agree that this contract does not guarantee
the success of the training, and that the success or failure
of the training methods rests primarily with my dedication
in implementing them. (3)
I
understand and agree that Alexandra Morgan will not be held
responsible for any current or future actions of my dog, and
that I will hold her harmless in the event my dog should harm
any person, animal or thing.

Notes: (1)
"Pro-rated" means "by the hour", so 1/2
hour = $30, 1/4 hour = $15, etc . To calculate my probable travel
time fee, I am currently located in Warren, RI. Therefore,
most of East Providence, Providence, Warren, Barrington, South
Seekonk and South Rehoboth have a $5 - $20 per visit travel
fee. Cranston, Warwick, North Providence, Johnston, North Seekonk,
North Rehoboth, Bristol, Attleboro, Dighton and Taunton will
likely have a travel fee of $20- $35 dollars, etc. I will travel
as far as needed...but charge my travel fees accordingly!
(2)
This is NOT meant to imply that the dog might die as a result
of training! What is meant is that reasons such as "I decided
not to bother", or "I gave the dog away" do not
entitle the owner to a refund. I take my commitment to training
you and your dog seriously, and expect you to do the same!
(3)
The only guarantee any trainer could possibly offer in good
faith is to continue working with you at no additional charge
if the methods did not work....which would be a very foolish
offer, since the success of the methods rests primarily with
the owner, and how can the trainer possibly guarantee that the
owner will comply?! Furthermore, dogs are living beings with
their own individual personalities and (despite being far more
predictable than humans!) do not always behave in the manner
we expect them to. Even the best trainer is surprised from time
to time! |
